British hopes of glory in the Tour de France may have taken a bit of a battering over the last couple of weeks, but British cycling is still in the healthiest shape of its life. And so is the Deloitte Ride Across Britain. Our 2014 event sold out in record time and at midday today we launched registration for our 2015 event.
For those who aren’t aware, the Deloitte Ride Across Britain takes on the UK’s most iconic cycling challenge, travelling 969 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats in just nine days. It takes in some of the most spectacular riding that Britain has to offer, and our mobile camps provide a top quality base for our 1,000 riders. Nobody else offers the support or quality of experience that we do, with 93% of riders rating it as one of the best experiences of their life.
It’s not only members of the public who join us for this mammoth journey. The Deloitte Ride Across Britain is also open to corporate teams who use the event for employee engagement, charity fundraising and client entertainment. Nothing else compares to spending nine days with colleagues and clients, working as a team to reach John O’Groats together. When you add in the fact that the Deloitte Ride Across Britain is among the top three fundraising events in the UK per head, it becomes an amazing opportunity to inspire an organisation. In the last couple of years we’ve had teams Vodafone, Lloyds, Dulux, and Cisco sign up, as well as much smaller, fast growing companies like AO.com and Alternative Networks using Deloitte RAB as a way of bonding their team. We’ve even had teams from Bath and Gloucester Rugby Clubs enter teams stuffed with retired professionals looking for a new challenge away from the pitch.
Of course, as Chris Froome has learnt the hard way, there are no guarantees of success. But with a 94% completion rate since 2010, a world class logistical support team, and the highest determination to see our participants make it to the end, the Deloitte Ride Across Britain is your best shot.
