Following on from the success of the Dixons Carphone Race to the Stones ultramarathon we are proud to announce the launch of our latest event; Race to the King.

Within 3 years the Race to the Stones has gone from nothing to the largest ultra-marathon in the UK with over 1,770 people taking part last weekend. With the demand for challenges that go beyond the standard marathon distances continuing to increase we have launched a sequel.

Participants in Race to the King can walk, jog or run 52-miles along the stunning South Downs Way to the burial place of the first Kings of England. The breathtaking route starts near Arundel in West Sussex and runs through the South Downs National Park until you reach the climactic finish on the steps of Winchester Cathedral. Whether an elite ultra-runner or a weekend walker looking to raise money for charity people can race through some of the finest scenery in the UK with views stretching across Southern England and out to sea.

Entries will officially open in Autumn, but people can register their interest in advance at
