HEINEKEN Race to the Tower is a double marathon through the heart of the Cotswolds, and is the newest addition to our award winning trail series.
To celebrate the launch, we want to give corporate teams the chance to take on this incredible event, for free! We see first-hand the impact this has on the culture of a company, and the health and wellbeing of their people. Now you have the chance to experience it for yourselves.
On 10th June, 1,000 fellow walkers and runners will begin their 52.6 mile epic journey along the Cotswolds Way. If the challenge itself doesn’t take your breath away, then the scenery will. From Gloucestershire to Worcestershire, you’ll pass through some of the best countryside the UK has to offer.
The event is there for all, inclusive of all ages, sizes and experience. The perfect team challenge, you’ll be fully supported en route and also have the option to do shorter distances. Your team may want to take on the route non-stop, or choose to take advantage of our overnight basecamp. Delicious food, hot showers and much needed massages tend to temp most to join the party!
We’ve had teams from the likes of Volvo, Dixons Carphone and Vodafone take part in our ultra marathons, along with plenty of small to medium sized businesses. We can sit down with your group and design your own package to suit your team’s abilities, helping with all the preparation. There’s also a range of extras to make it all the more special, which can be anything from private training days to bespoke kit.
Companies enter teams for all kinds of different reasons. Whether it’s to improve the culture within the team, raise money for a charity partner, or simply conquer an amazing challenge together. Whatever your goal, we can measure its impact.
Here are some examples from companies that have taken part in our ultra marathons:
We wanted to fundraise for our charity, The Mix, while encouraging our employees to become fitter and healthier. As well generating fundraising through staff taking part in the challenge, we created an ‘Average-to-Awesome’ programme. Employees training and completing the event in 2016 via this shed an incredible 104kg in weight, which saw massive benefits for them beyond the workplace.

Our company’s mission is “to add colour to people’s lives”. Dulux Trade London Revolution epitomises this as we unite a community of customers, employees, suppliers and friends, raising significant funds for the Outward Bound Trust. The transformative effect this had had on people’s lives so far has been truly inspirational.
