Our events alone helped to raise £16m for charities last, so we know all about the huge impact that cancellations to fundraising challenges will have on the sector.
That’s why we came together with other mass participation event organisers to create a new campaign to help save the UK’s charities.
Our call to action for the public was to take on a 2.6 related challenge on 26th April. Whether it was running or cycling, hopping or skipping – the more creative, the better.
All in aid for the NHS charities, we’re delighted by its success which has to date raised over £9m for the sector.
And of course, we couldn’t do all of this without getting involved ourselves could we?
We therefore challenged ourselves to 2.6 miles on foot and collectively completed 52 miles of an ultra marathon. It was a stark reminder of what we’ll miss this summer, but a refreshing way to bond as a team and support a fantastic campaign.
To all those that took part and supported, kudos to you.
