The Volunteer Hub is where all documents related to the event will be uploaded – this will include such information as the volunteer briefing document, vehicle plans, key locations and any other information that will be useful to you on the event. We love our volunteers to come to the event as prepared as possible so please have a read of all the documents under the relevant event dropdown.
Each specific event’s information will be uploaded 4 weeks prior to the start date of that event so if you don’t see yours here, please check back closer to the time of the event.
If you aren’t sure on anything relating to your role on the event, please ask! You will have received an email with information about these documents from one of the team, so feel free to drop them an email of give us call if you need to ask anything.
On the event you will be provided with a black Threshold t-shirt to wear, as well as a hi-vis which must be warn at all times to be identifiable to participants as well as other crew and volunteers. As well as this, we recommend wearing comfortable footwear and always packing those waterproofs – you can never trust the British weather! A full kit list is available at the top of this page.

The route has a number of pit stops where you can be part of the team to help the participants refuel for the next leg of their challenge and encourage them to keep pushing on. Or if you prefer to cheer our amazing runners and walkers over the finish line and award them with their hard-earned medals, then coming along with your loudest cheer!
Whatever your role on the event, you will be given all the necessary information to be able to carry this out to the best of your ability. You will be provided details of where you will need to be and when, and what you will need to bring with you. You will also have an experienced team manager with you on the day if you are unsure of anything.
While volunteering you will be provided with all food and drink, so you won’t need to worry about bringing anything with you. If required, you will be provided with your own tent and camping mat, you will just need to bring sleeping bag etc.
