Strive Lapland with Big Change

PUMA Forever Faster Cup

Together we created the “PUMA Forever Faster Cup”. A first-of-its-kind, mixed gender and mixed distance relay designed to engage and encourage the competitiveness between Leeds Beckett and the University of Leeds, the two major universities of Leeds.

  • 3 teams from each university comprised of ten students, 5 male and 5 female.
  • 10,000 meters split 23 legs,  from 100m to 1600m which accommodated all runners.
  • The spectator experience was also key and aided the vibrant sports event atmosphere.
  • Over 500 runners and spectators participated in the PUMA Forever Faster Cup, bringing both university communities together and growing affinity towards PUMA as a brand.

Alpine STRIVE Challenge

Deloitte Ride Across Britain – Title Sponsorship

Together, Deloitte and Threshold created a truly unique annual event which would see 1,000 riders taking on the 900+ miles of breath-taking cycling from one end of the UK to the other; a true bucket list experience.

A key element of this was making it accessible to all ages and level of cyclists. In order to do so, Deloitte and Threshold  built a full support system from route signage, ride chaperones, mechanical and medical support, through to fully serviced basecamps that house everyone each night as they head up the country.

Results 

  • 96% of riders felt that preparing for Deloitte RAB had improved their overall health
  • 88% of employees said it increased their sense of pride in working for Deloitte
  • An incredible £7.8 million raised for charities across the board since 2010

HEINEKEN Race to the Castle – Title Sponsorship

With the help of Threshold Sports, HEINEKEN used their sponsorship of the event as a class-leading employee engagement and health and wellbeing platform to bring their colleagues together and foster closer relationships.

Over 1,400 walkers and runners took on the epic 100km challenge, journeying along the breath-taking Northumberland Coast before crossing the finish line by the magnificent Bamburgh Castle. Participants had to battle through testing weather conditions, but this only helped to inspire them to raise over £310,000 for hundreds of UK charities. 

Results 

  • >80% of participating colleagues to feel an increased sense of pride in working for HEINEKEN
  • >50% of Team HEINEKEN would be promoters when asked if they felt that training and taking part in RTTC had a positive impact on their mental health 
  • All contracted places were filled, exceeding the number recruited on previous event

Dulux London Revolution – Title Sponsorship

Dulux’s sponsorship of London Revolution  delivered against multiple employee engagement objectives, with fundraising at the forefront.  The cycle challenge brings together nearly 2,000 participants together every year, as they take on a 2-day, 300km loop of London. Over £150k is raised every year for hundreds of UK charities and  Dulux have made a huge impact in increasing the activities of its workforce.

Results 

  • 100% of their employees said the event increased their physical fitness
  • 92% said the event helped them foster closer relationships with colleagues
  • 88% of employees said it increased their pride in their and working for Dulux

Diageo: The Talisker Coastal Challenge

Dixon Carphone Race to the Stones – Title Sponsorship

This sponsorship reflects the true case of a company walking the walk when it comes to their commitment to their people and society. Dixons Carphone (DC)’s CSR firmly put their employee’s health and wellbeing at the top of their agenda. We’ve worked with them to create an asset that not only compliments their wider CSR strategy but gives them the platform to communicate it clearly across the entire workforce.

Results 

  • 100% of Team Dixons Carphone said participating has had a positive impact on their overall health and wellbeing.
  • 92% of Team Dixons Carphone felt participating increased their sense of pride in working for the company.
  • Dixons Carphone has seen a whooping £2.32m + raised for charities.

Vodafone Three Peaks Challenge

Stand Up 2 Cancer – London 3 Peaks

Cancer Research UK wanted an iconic London based mass participation fundraising event for their Stand Up 2 Cancer campaign. It had to be accessible, though with a level of arduousness and uniqueness to attract fundraising and high profile attention.

Event Brief & Response

  • We created the London 3 Peaks concept, with a 5k run between iconic stairs climbs and an abseil
  • 350 participants took part in the event
  • SU2C went on to raise over £205k with the event featuring on TV

DHL Hub to Hub Ride

Samsung Rocks

Samsung had been through a challenging period of change and it was the time to celebrate and galvanise them as one team. We found a stunning private estate near to London and came up with a jam packed itinerary with something for everyone, including a relaxing evening celebration.

  • Evening included a BBQ and live music with other festival vibes
  • The event was scaled up immediately for 600 employees
