Together, Deloitte and Threshold created a truly unique annual event which would see 1,000 riders taking on the 900+ miles of breath-taking cycling from one end of the UK to the other; a true bucket list experience.
A key element of this was making it accessible to all ages and level of cyclists. In order to do so, Deloitte and Threshold built a full support system from route signage, ride chaperones, mechanical and medical support, through to fully serviced basecamps that house everyone each night as they head up the country.
With the help of Threshold Sports, HEINEKEN used their sponsorship of the event as a class-leading employee engagement and health and wellbeing platform to bring their colleagues together and foster closer relationships.
Over 1,400 walkers and runners took on the epic 100km challenge, journeying along the breath-taking Northumberland Coast before crossing the finish line by the magnificent Bamburgh Castle. Participants had to battle through testing weather conditions, but this only helped to inspire them to raise over £310,000 for hundreds of UK charities.
Dulux’s sponsorship of London Revolution delivered against multiple employee engagement objectives, with fundraising at the forefront. The cycle challenge brings together nearly 2,000 participants together every year, as they take on a 2-day, 300km loop of London. Over £150k is raised every year for hundreds of UK charities and Dulux have made a huge impact in increasing the activities of its workforce.
This sponsorship reflects the true case of a company walking the walk when it comes to their commitment to their people and society. Dixons Carphone (DC)’s CSR firmly put their employee’s health and wellbeing at the top of their agenda. We’ve worked with them to create an asset that not only compliments their wider CSR strategy but gives them the platform to communicate it clearly across the entire workforce.
“3 Peaks was absolutely amazing, such a great experience, epic scenery, seriously tough but a lot of fun as well. It was a truly once in a lifetime experience.”

Event Brief & Response
“‘Thanks again for everything. I really appreciate the professional and friendly support from minute one. Everything was great from my point of view and I frankly never heard any negative words from anyone during the whole two days…apart of course towards poor old Rory and his route plan (but who told anyone you could ride 155 miles without the odd hump to get over!)”
Richard Cook, Director of Fleet, DHL International.
“I always appreciate how calm and under control the whole Threshold team appear, even when multiple last minute changes and obstacles are thrown at them. The “one team, one dream” mantra and solution based approach to challenges enables all parties involved to feel part of a common goal and for talent to feel safe and looked after which is crucial to a Sport Relief challenge running smoothly.”
Beth Chandler, Challenge Events Project Manager, Comic Relief

“From the start to the finish of this project, every interaction we’ve had with Threshold has been so professional and faultless. We have all enjoyed seeing our colleagues taking part, having so much fun and of course raising money – thank you for making everything run so smoothly for them.”
