MEET THE TEAM:
Behind the fancy job title is a real person, so feel free to get in touch
Our founder Mack is the father of More Is In You and the driving force behind Threshold’s culture. His passion for what we do is immense and his balance between work, family and play is inspirational. This is more than can be said for his balance in his kayak.
Nick is driven by Threshold’s simple purpose of supporting people to fulfil their potential. This extends from those taking on our events to the team he feels honoured to lead each day. He believes in going with your instinct (especially when backed up by data) and likes his cocktails like his fancy dress; high impact.
Tariq heads up Threshold’s operations and oversees the delivery of our growing portfolio of amazing outdoor adventures. His background prior to Threshold had him leading expeditions and overland safaris on five continents and he has organised some of the UK’S largest and toughest endurance events.
Penny’s own drive and enthusiasm sets the benchmark for her Account Management team. Although she’d never tell you, she used to represent GB with an oar and she is one of those rare people who combines huge ambition with support and nurture for all those around her.
Calvin oversees Threshold’s marketing strategy across our own events portfolio. Having been in and around the cycling industry for 10 years, he’s developed marketing and business strategies for some of the UK’s leading brands. When not delving into the latest campaign data, you can often find Calvin running (rather slowly) around a hockey pitch or taking on the trails by foot or bike.
With a brilliant banking career at the likes of Goldman Sachs, Andrew brings financial nous to Threshold. Never one to miss a challenge he is often first to be throwing shapes on the dance floor and already has several Threshold finisher’s medals to his name.
Senior Marketing Director
Cara is responsible for all things marketing. She has a love for the outdoors and you’ll most regularly find her playing hockey or taking on a new sporting challenge. She is competitive at heart, passionate and a real asset to the team.
Senior Account Director
Jenni is blessed with a wonderful northern charm and understatement. She’s solid as a rock, instantly affable with everyone and will surprise you every now and then by casually dropping in the news that she’s doing an Ironman or similar. As you do.
Senior Event Director – Client Events
Louise is our Event Director for Client Events. She comes with a wealth of knowledge of sporting events in the charity sector. In her spare time Louise likes to keep fit, compete in the muddiest events and discover new amazing parts of the world.
Associate Sales Director
Will heads up our New Business team, with a focus on securing new sponsors, partners and bespoke events across the corporate and charity sector. With over 8 years experience within mass participation events, Will’s at the heart of inspiring more companies to get active and maximising fundraising return for charities. When not outside running, you’ll either find him at Spurs or on the football pitch himself, barking orders from centre half.
Associate Commercial Director
You’ll meet Pip within the account management team, looking after our Threshold charity partners and participants. An imaginative flare and energetic spirit, she takes this onto the netball court or invests in supporting her beloved Leicester Tigers. Never without a tuneful song to serenade the office, we are wondering why we ever invested in communal speakers!
Connie manages the operational side of the Threshold Trail Series, ensuring our incredible events can take place in the best ways possible. Outside work Connie loves to get outdoors, taking part in almost any challenge that presents itself. She’s taken part in a 350 nautical mile race across the Arctic, done a cycle sportive on a tandem in a hurricane, run marathons and led charity treks and bike rides all over the world.
Senior Account Manager
Not to be confused with a lovesick reality TV star, our favourite Islander Lucy was born and raised on the IoW. As the sailing capital of the world (fact) it’s where her events career began. Top class at unravelling knots with a smile on her face she’s the cornerstone of the Sponsorship Team. Lucy diligently guides our headline partners towards their objectives. Googlesheets is her middle name.
Associate Sales Manager
Neil has recently joined to work alongside Will in the new business team, focusing on securing new sponsors, partnerships and driving corporate team participation. Outside of the office you can find Neil running on trails in and round Brighton. Or following his beloved Swansea City, the biggest team in Wales!
Michelle is the oil that makes the Threshold machine run smoothly. She’s responsible for everything from flawless finances to identifying the next evening of team shenanigans. Outside of work she loves to play hockey with her local team and take part in pretty much any sporty adventure.
Adam has recently joined Threshold’s growing Operations Team. His background is in leading overseas expeditions and in planning and delivering challenging events. His passion for adventure has seen him travel to the remotest corners of the planet.
Associate Account Executive
Sophie has joined the Account Management Team to assist on all things Client Events, with a passion for sports events and an enthusiastic approach to any challenge. With a love for the sea, she is a keen surfer, and when the waves are flat, she swaps the wetsuit boots for trainers as an equally keen runner, enjoying anything outdoors, especially in the sun!
Participant Management Executive
Henrietta has joined the Account Management Team to do all things participant based. A keen sportsperson, she is regularly exploring the mountains (or the world!) with her chocolate Labrador and has a true passion for water (or snow) sports! Always up for helping people achieve their goal, she is looking forward to getting stuck into assisting the participants in crossing the finish line.
Marketing Workplace Student
Brooke has joined the team on a year-long placement in between her studies at Loughborough University. She is now putting her passion for sports events management to the test and has already made herself a valued member of the team. Outside of work you’ll find her either whizzing around a table tennis table, enjoying a cold pint with friends or eating her daily fix of popcorn.
Account Management Workplace Student
Mae’s joined us under the Account Management team for a year-long work placement. Her great eye for detail has placed her under the trusted wing of our participant management whizz, Pip, getting stuck in with all things participants comms. Outside work she is a keen skier and netball player. Be sure to ask her about her ski season and ‘Gap Yah’… that’s if she hasn’t told you about it already!
Marketing Workplace Student
Lydia has joined the Marketing team on a placement from her Sport Management and Coaching course at the University of Bath. She has always had a real interest in sports events attending international and club rugby, Olympic hockey, and participating in big events such as the Glasgow to Edinburgh Cycle Ride. Her curiosity has built about how these events are put together and who does that – she thinks she will find out this year! Outside of work Lydia enjoys Hockey, Swimming, and Lacrosse (when she can find others prepared to brave that game). Occasionally partial to an Aperol Spritz in the sun or snow she also enjoys giving her energy to viral TikTok trends.
Operations Workplace Student
Adam has joined the Operations Team at Threshold Sports to complete a year-long placement amidst his studies at the University of Bath. As an enthusiastic sportsman engaging in a wide variety of sports including swimming, skiing and track cycling his passion for sporting events and wellbeing is demonstrated in abundance. If not in the gym, poolside or cycling through the countryside he will be found eating anything and everything.
Operations Workplace Student
Jasmine has joined the Operations team for a year-long placement in between her studies at the University of Bath. She is already enjoying being part of the Threshold team and looks forward to learning more about event management. Outside of work, she enjoys a variety of sports especially swimming, where she competes in pools, lakes and the sea.
New Business Workplace Student
Karis has joined us under the New Business team for a year- long placement in between her studies at Loughborough University. She loves hustling and is always up for an adventure. She is looking forward to working with Will and Neil and getting sucked into all things business. Outside of work, you will find her either hammering balls down on a volleyball court or doing high jump on the athletics track.
Account Management Workplace Student
Lucy has joined Threshold’s account management team for her placement year during her degree studies in Business and Event Management at University of the West of England. Excited for anything outdoors-y with a side of geek-level organisation, she now can put her passions into play and help ensure Threshold’s accounts succeed their goals and expectations. In her spare time, she is running, eating cake, and psyching herself up to run the Race to the Stones next year!
Georgia is a self-confessed adventurer & sport enthusiast, pizza lover & espresso martini expert. Her natural habitat is the outdoors, whether it’s long distance walking, jumping out of aeroplanes or caving underground – she’ll try her hand at anything! She joins the team as an Account Executive to combine her passion of both people & sport.
