Nick is driven by Threshold’s simple purpose of supporting people to fulfil their potential. This extends from those taking on our events to the team he feels honoured to lead each day. He believes in going with your instinct (especially when backed up by data) and likes his cocktails like his fancy dress; high impact.

CCO
Penny’s own drive and enthusiasm sets the benchmark for her Account Management team. Although she’d never tell you, she used to represent GB with an oar and she is one of those rare people who combines huge ambition with support and nurture for all those around her.

Julian Mack

Founder
Our founder Mack is the father of More Is In You and the driving force behind Threshold’s culture. His passion for what we do is immense and his balance between work, family and play is inspirational. This is more than can be said for his balance in his kayak.

Cara da Silva

Senior Marketing Director
Cara is responsible for all things marketing. She has a love for the outdoors and you’ll most regularly find her playing hockey or taking on a new sporting challenge. She is competitive at heart, passionate and a real asset to the team.

Calvin Cox

CMO
Calvin oversees Threshold’s marketing strategy across our own events portfolio. Having been in and around the cycling industry for 10 years, he’s developed marketing and business strategies for some of the UK’s leading brands. When not delving into the latest campaign data, you can often find Calvin running (rather slowly) around a hockey pitch or taking on the trails by foot or bike.

Andrew Learoyd

Non-Executive Director
With a brilliant banking career at the likes of Goldman Sachs, Andrew brings financial nous to Threshold. Never one to miss a challenge he is often first to be throwing shapes on the dance floor and already has several Threshold finisher’s medals to his name.

Tariq El Kashef

COO
Tariq heads up Threshold’s operations and oversees the delivery of our growing portfolio of amazing outdoor adventures. His background prior to Threshold had him leading expeditions and overland safaris on five continents and he has organised some of the UK’S largest and toughest endurance events.

Sophie Aldrich

Account Executive 
Sophie is part of the Account Management Team, working on all things Client Events, with a passion for sports and an enthusiastic approach to any challenge. With a love for the sea, she is a keen surfer, and when the waves are flat, she swaps the wetsuit boots for trainers as an equally keen runner, enjoying anything outdoors, especially in the sun!

Neil Watson

Associate Sales Manager
Neil has recently joined to work alongside Will in the new business team, focusing on securing new sponsors, partnerships and driving corporate team participation. Outside of the office you can find Neil running on trails in and round Brighton. Or following his beloved Swansea City, the biggest team in Wales!

Will Irwin

Senior Sales Director
Will heads up our New Business team, with a focus on securing new sponsors, partners and bespoke events across the corporate and charity sector. With over 10 years’ experience within mass participation events, Will’s at the heart of inspiring more companies to get active and maximising fundraising return for charities. When not outside running, you’ll either find him at Spurs or on the football pitch himself, barking orders from centre half.

Philippa Aspinall

Commercial Director
You’ll meet Pip within the account management team, looking after our Threshold charity partners and participants. An imaginative flare and energetic spirit, she takes this onto the netball court or invests in supporting her beloved Leicester Tigers. Never without a tuneful song to serenade the office, we are wondering why we ever invested in communal speakers!

Jenni Thompson

Senior Account Director
Jenni is blessed with a wonderful northern charm and understatement. She’s solid as a rock, instantly affable with everyone and will surprise you every now and then by casually dropping in the news that she’s doing an Ironman or similar. As you do.

Jenny Ainsworth

Associate Event Director

Having spent most of her career managing charity sporting events, Jenny joins us in the operations team working on client events. When not on an event site (her favourite place to be) Jenny loves anything outdoors- from paddle boarding to netball to tennis. Fuelled by chocolate and living for sunshine Jenny can’t help but organise her days when outside of the office, even making running orders used as holiday itinerary’s – no, really!

Lucy Olden

Associate Account Director
Not to be confused with a lovesick reality TV star, our favourite Islander Lucy was born and raised on the IoW. As the sailing capital of the world (fact) it’s where her events career began. Top class at unravelling knots with a smile on her face she’s the cornerstone of the Sponsorship Team. Lucy diligently guides our headline partners towards their objectives. Googlesheets is her middle name.

Louise Cornforth

Senior Event Director – Client Events
Louise is our Event Director for Client Events. She comes with a wealth of knowledge of sporting events in the charity sector. In her spare time Louise likes to keep fit, compete in the muddiest events and discover new amazing parts of the world.

Jenny Chapman

Office Manager
Jenny is our Office Manager and responsible for keeping our ship, ship-shape. She has an eye on our Finance, Our People, and making sure that our office is a great place to be. As an ex-physiotherapist she loves all things fitness. She’s knocked out a couple of ultra walks, been 2nd in a body building competition and loves high adrenaline activities including wing walking and parachute jumping!

Adam Juniper

Event Director
Adam has recently joined Threshold’s growing Operations Team.  His background is in leading overseas expeditions and in planning and delivering challenging events.  His passion for adventure has seen him travel to the remotest corners of the planet.

Natasha Addison

Associate Event Director
Tash is part of the operations Team working across Threshold’s Trail Series and The London Revolution. She has worked within the events industry for over 15 years as part of, and alongside, many credible agencies, charities, brands and high profile stakeholders. Her passion and enthusiasm for sport and wellness continues outside of work as she enjoys long walks, running and the gym. And if not doing one of those, she might be baking her famous black bean brownies or frequenting one of Brighton’s many restaurants, cafes or pubs!

Georgia Anderson

Account Executive
Georgia is a self-confessed adventurer & sport enthusiast, pizza lover & espresso martini expert. Her natural habitat is the outdoors, whether it’s long distance walking, jumping out of aeroplanes or caving underground – she’ll try her hand at anything! She joins the team as an Account Executive to combine her passion of both people & sport.

Associate Marketing Manager
Having spent the past few years working in the heart of the cycling industry, Tara brings passion and experience into her role in the marketing team. She’s mainly fuelled by pizza and cups of tea and can often be found exploring the countryside.

Georgie Smith

Associate Account Manager
Georgie loves an extreme sporting event, even once getting through to the interview stages of SAS Who Dares Wins. She has also participated in our very own Race to the King, so she knows how to make the participant experience that extra bit special! Also, with a love of spreadsheets, colour coordinated sticky notes and a good natter, she is clearly a born Client Events team member.

Sophie has recently joined the Account Management Team, looking after all of our participant needs. Having spent a year on placement in New Zealand (which she isn’t afraid to mention!), she has a new-found love for all things outdoors and adventure! Outside the office she enjoys going out with friends, skiing, and attempting to get back into gymnastics, a sport she once competed in.

Richard Parr

Senior Event Director
Richard is our Event Director for the Threshold Trail Series, looking after all things operational to make the events run smoothly. A keen runner and cyclist, you’ll often find him out on the roads and trails, usually hunting for cake. With more than 500 events under his belt as an organiser or runner, he champions event experiences for everyone and isn’t too proud to admit getting emotional watching special moments at finish lines.

Louise Maloney

Crew Manager
Lou works in the Operations team looking after our Threshold crew and volunteers. She is always keen for a spontaneous adventure, she’s cycled to Paris and is next planning on cycling to Amsterdam. Born and bred on the South coast, she’s into cycling in the South Downs and all manner of water sports – even a winter dip in the sea!

Matt Dickinson

Senior Event Manager

Having competed up to international level as a distance runner, Matt carries his passion and love for sport into his everyday life – organising several hundred mass participation events along the way! For now injuries have put his running career on ice, however he can still regularly be found keeping active at the gym or out cycling in the countryside. Away from sport, Matt’s hobbies also include struggling to learn German in a desperate attempt to impress the in-laws.

Event Executive

David works in our Operations team supporting the Threshold Trail Series. He’s an active individual who enjoys hiking, rugby and tennis. He’s excited to be close to the sea so he can swim and paddle board more often! New to Brighton so excited to see what the city has to offer.

Event Executive

Jack has joined the Operations team working on the client events side of things. When not organising events, Jack likes to socialise with friends, travel and play a variety of sports such as tennis and football in his spare time.

Lucy Smith

Account Management Workplace Student
Lucy has joined Threshold’s account management team for her placement year during her degree studies in Business and Event Management at University of the West of England. Excited for anything outdoors-y with a side of geek-level organisation, she now can put her passions into play and help ensure Threshold’s accounts succeed their goals and expectations. In her spare time, she is running, eating cake, and psyching herself up to run the Race to the Stones next year!

Operations Workplace Student
Jasmine has joined the Operations team for a year-long placement in between her studies at the University of Bath. She is already enjoying being part of the Threshold team and looks forward to learning more about event management. Outside of work, she enjoys a variety of sports especially swimming, where she competes in pools, lakes and the sea.

Marketing Workplace Student
Lydia has joined the Marketing team on a placement from the University of Bath. She has always had a real interest in sports events attending international and club rugby, Olympic hockey, and participating in big events such as the Glasgow to Edinburgh Cycle Ride. Outside of work Lydia enjoys Hockey, Swimming, and Lacrosse. Occasionally partial to an Aperol Spritz in the sun or snow she also enjoys giving her energy to viral TikTok trends.

Account Management Workplace Student
With over ten years experience training in the gymnasium, it’s time for Heather to join the Threshold team and venture into the great outdoors. She is hoping to attend lots of events this season, come rain or shine and is ready to explore Brighton and have a laugh and a good time (but not too much at work of course!)

Operations Workplace Student
Adam has joined the Operations Team at Threshold Sports to complete a year-long placement amidst his studies at the University of Bath. As an enthusiastic sportsman engaging in a wide variety of sports including swimming, skiing and track cycling his passion for sporting events and wellbeing is demonstrated in abundance. If not in the gym, poolside or cycling through the countryside he will be found eating anything and everything.

Karis Cheung

New Business Workplace Student
Karis has joined us under the New Business team for a year- long placement in between her studies at Loughborough University. She loves hustling and is always up for an adventure. She is looking forward to working with Will and Neil and getting sucked into all things business. Outside of work, you will find her either hammering balls down on a volleyball court or doing high jump on the athletics track.
