MEET THE TEAM:
Behind the fancy job title is a real person, so feel free to get in touch
Founder
Our founder Mack is the father of More Is In You and the driving force behind Threshold’s culture. His passion for what we do is immense and his balance between work, family and play is inspirational. This is more than can be said for his balance in his kayak.
CEO
Nick is driven by Threshold’s simple purpose of supporting people to fulfil their potential. This extends from those taking on our events to the team he feels honoured to lead each day. He believes in going with your instinct (especially when backed up by data) and likes his cocktails like his fancy dress; high impact.
COO
Tariq heads up Threshold’s operations and oversees the delivery of our growing portfolio of amazing outdoor adventures. His background prior to Threshold had him leading expeditions and overland safaris on five continents and he has organised some of the UK’S largest and toughest endurance events.
CCO
Penny’s own drive and enthusiasm sets the benchmark for her Account Management team. Although she’d never tell you, she used to represent GB with an oar and she is one of those rare people who combines huge ambition with support and nurture for all those around her.
CMO
Calvin oversees Threshold’s marketing strategy across our own events portfolio. Having been in and around the cycling industry for 10 years, he’s developed marketing and business strategies for some of the UK’s leading brands. When not delving into the latest campaign data, you can often find Calvin running (rather slowly) around a hockey pitch or taking on the trails by foot or bike.
Non-Executive Director
With a brilliant banking career at the likes of Goldman Sachs, Andrew brings financial nous to Threshold. Never one to miss a challenge he is often first to be throwing shapes on the dance floor and already has several Threshold finisher’s medals to his name.
Senior Marketing Director
Cara is responsible for all things marketing. She has a love for the outdoors and you’ll most regularly find her playing hockey or taking on a new sporting challenge. She is competitive at heart, passionate and a real asset to the team.
Account Director
Jenni is blessed with a wonderful northern charm and understatement. She’s solid as a rock, instantly affable with everyone and will surprise you every now and then by casually dropping in the news that she’s doing an Ironman or similar. As you do.
Event Director – Client Events
Louise is our Event Director for Client Events. She comes with a wealth of knowledge of sporting events in the charity sector. In her spare time Louise likes to keep fit, compete in the muddiest events and discover new amazing parts of the world.
Associate Sales Director
Will heads up our New Business team, with a focus on securing new sponsors, partners and bespoke events across the corporate and charity sector. With over 8 years experience within mass participation events, Will’s at the heart of inspiring more companies to get active and maximising fundraising return for charities. When not outside running, you’ll either find him at Spurs or on the football pitch himself, barking orders from centre half.
Associate Commercial Director
You’ll meet Pip within the account management team, looking after our Threshold charity partners and participants. An imaginative flare and energetic spirit, she takes this onto the netball court or invests in supporting her beloved Leicester Tigers. Never without a tuneful song to serenade the office, we are wondering why we ever invested in communal speakers!
Event Director
Connie manages the operational side of the Threshold Trail Series, ensuring our incredible events can take place in the best ways possible. Outside work Connie loves to get outdoors, taking part in almost any challenge that presents itself. She’s taken part in a 350 nautical mile race across the Arctic, done a cycle sportive on a tandem in a hurricane, run marathons and led charity treks and bike rides all over the world.
Senior Account Manager
Not to be confused with a lovesick reality TV star, our favourite Islander Lucy was born and raised on the IoW. As the sailing capital of the world (fact) it’s where her events career began. Top class at unravelling knots with a smile on her face she’s the cornerstone of the Sponsorship Team. Lucy diligently guides our headline partners towards their objectives. Googlesheets is her middle name.
Account Executive
Sophie is one of the newer members of the Account Management team. When she’s not assisting participants or working with sponsors & clients, you will find her with a passport in hand. Sophie has travelled the world doing the things she loves and in the last couple of years has lived on 3 different continents. Her love for skiing, hiking, hockey and golf has taken her to Canada, Australia, Sweden and Northern Ireland – next stop Brighton?
Office Manager
Michelle is the oil that makes the Threshold machine run smoothly. She’s responsible for everything from flawless finances to identifying the next evening of team shenanigans. Outside of work she loves to play hockey with her local team and take part in pretty much any sporty adventure.
Account Management Workplace Student
Mae’s joined us under the Account Management team for a year-long work placement. Her great eye for detail has placed her under the trusted wing of our participant management whizz, Pip, getting stuck in with all things participants comms. Outside work she is a keen skier and netball player. Be sure to ask her about her ski season and ‘Gap Yah’… that’s if she hasn’t told you about it already!
Marketing Workplace Student
Brooke has joined the team on a year-long placement in between her studies at Loughborough University. She is now putting her passion for sports events management to the test and has already made herself a valued member of the team. Outside of work you’ll find her either whizzing around a table tennis table, enjoying a cold pint with friends or eating her daily fix of popcorn.
New Business Workplace Student
Tom joined the New Business team on a year long placement in between his studies at Nottingham Trent University. He’s now putting his strong interest in sales to the test, working alongside Will to convert new corporate teams for our upcoming events. Outside of work you’ll either find him cheering for his favourite NFL team the Vikings, or down on the pitch playing Rugby.
