Treading Lightly with Sustainable Events

Our purpose is to help people realise their potential through world-class challenge events. This is only possible in the long term if sustainability is embedded in everything that we do.

We want our events to have as positive an impact on the natural world as they do on the people who take part in them.

Our sustainability framework covers four key areas:

  • Reducing the negative environmental impact of our events
  • Off-setting the carbon footprint of our business
  • Inspiring social & industry-wide behaviour change
  • Advancing the sustainability initiatives of the events industry

Our Efforts So Far

Investing in Renewable Energy

We balance the emissions of our live event crew travel by investing in renewable energy projects and provide a platform for our participants to do the same.

Meat-Free Menus

We have moved all the food provided at our Public Events within entry fees to being meat-free. This saves us an estimated 65 tonnes of carbon a year.

Eliminating Single-Use Plastics

By removing plastic cups, bottles, plates and cutlery, we’ve removed the need for more than 100,000 single-use plastic items annually.

On-Site Recycling Facilities

Our live event recycling set up allows us to improve waste separation and reduce landfill. We also donate unused food and equipment to food banks and charities.

Centralised Resources

We provide centralised power, water and haulage solutions to our events and suppliers

Part of Onboard:Earth

Formerly known as Ecolibrium, Onboard:Earth is a live events industry response to the climate crisis – a community of events, festivals, suppliers, artists and music companies taking action to reduce travel impacts and invest in climate solutions.
