RBS: Do Good Feel Good 2

RBS going the extra mile for their employees

Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) was founded in 1727 and has become one of the largest banks in the UK serving around 19 million customers. In their company values are; Working together, doing the right thing and thinking long term.

With these in mind they came to Threshold to host an array of physical activities for their colleagues to fundraise for a charity of their choice all across the UK. Their goals were to drive colleague engagement, contribute to their fundraising target and have a positive impact on the causes their employees care about.

What did Threshold recommend?

Threshold suggested that a range of running/walking events and abseils would be the best way for this event to have maximum impact.

The locations would be Dublin, Manchester, London, Falkirk Wheel and Arcelormittal Orbit.

Who took part?

  • On the event we saw 397 people take part
  • We saw a M:F gender split of 53:47 on foot and 39:61 on the abseil
  • The average age of participant was 38.

How did we do?

  • Across all the events RBS raised £126,500 for 244 different charities.
  • This figure doesn’t include community cashback which would take this even higher.
  • 100% of participants said it was accessible and a good fundraising activity
  • 83% said they have fostered closer relationships.
